Serve

At Trinity Episcopal Church in The Woodlands, we believe that we are called to be servants of God and our mission statement is centered around this belief:

Grounded in Christ's love and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, we provide a safe and positive environment for spiritual growth of all, to welcome and serve others, to reach out to those in need and to share the Gospel.

We know that we can't display this belief through words alone, and that our actions must be our first and foremost symbol of belief of serving others.

We Provide a Safe and Positive Environment for Spiritual Growth of All

Trinity Episcopal Church opens our doors to our members and our community for the spiritual growth of all. Aside from our worship services on Sunday, we offer a service of healing on Wednesday evening and a mid week Eucharist on Wednesday morning. We also offer a variety of bible studies and spiritual formation classes throughout the week, ranging from Youth Coffee Talk to Art as a Spirtual Process to the Rector's Bible Sudy. It doesn't stop there, as we open our doors to several recovery groups in the area, giving them a safe place to meet privately in order to grow and heal from their addictions.

To Welcome and Serve Others, to Reach Out to Those in Need and to Share the Gospel

When you visit Trinity for a worship service, we invite you to make yourself at home. If you weren't raised Catholic, Eastern Orthodox or Episcopalian, your first visit can be a bit daunting. Feel free to join in as is comfortable to you, and if you want to know why we do the things we do, read Why Do Episcopalians Do That?. Most importantly, we want you to know that you are welcome!

It's not just those who visit our church who we want to affect, we feel a strong commitment to reach out and serve others who are in need and to share the Gospel. When you visit our Outreach Ministries section, you will see all of the ministries that we are engaged with in order to help those who are need.

Every summer, members of the Trinity community spread out across the nation to serve others who are in need. The Sr. High, Jr. High and Middle School studenta all take time during the summer to head out on separate mission trips geared towards assisting those in need by cleaning and repairing buildings or serving food to the homeless. Additionally, a group of families head north to the Spirt Lake Reservation  in North Dakota where they work in the community building relationships, repairing St. Thomas Church and other buildings. There is also a 5-day arts and crafts program for children and youth, as well as members of the community.

We also believe that we are called to serve each other within our own Trinity community, and our Pastoral Care Ministries outline the ministires that are in place to take care of each other. We offer ministries like Loaves and Fishes, where during times of crisis, sadness and joy, volunteers are there with a visit, a smile, an encouraging word and a simple meal or Stephans Ministry where Stephen Ministers meet with individuals in a one on one relationship on a regular basis during times of change, stress or crisis.

We strive to be faithful servants, and we believe that you will be able to find the ministry in which you can serve and strenghten your relationship with God.
