Prayer Ministries

Please let us know if you desire prayer and which method you would prefer as
listed below:

  • Prayer Chains – We have several groups committed to praying for those in need. We can add you to this list at any time, just let us know.
  • Weekly Tidings – We can list your name (first name and last initial) in our weekly newsletter so that the entire parish can pray for you. We have a special section for those serving in the military.
  • Prayer Cards – These cards are in the pews in the Church. Please fill out and place in the offering plate and your request will be given to the clergy.
  • Morning Prayer – We pray for each member of the parish once per month during our Morning Prayer time – 10:00 AM Monday through Friday in the Parlor.
  • Wednesday Prayers – Each week we pray for each member of our parish once per year during our Wednesday Service – 10:00 AM in the Church.

You can also submit prayer requests using the form below.

Ministry to the Sick and Homebound

Licensed Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) deliver communion on Sundays to those who are unable to attend church because of health issues.

Pastoral Care Nurses

These nurses are RNs who provide pastoral nursing services to Trinity parishioners. They conduct monthly blood pressure screenings as well as provide educational information and telephone support. They act as medical consultants/representatives for the nursery and Vacation Bible School as well as arrange for Parish Blood Drives with St. Luke’s Hospital Blood Bank.

Petal Pushers

This ministry delivers flower arrangements prepared from the Sunday altar flowers along with well wishes to fellow parishioners.

Loaves and Fishes

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs… take care of my sheep… Feed my sheep.” (John 21:15-17) During times of crisis, sadness and joy, Trinity's Loaves and Fishes volunteers are there with a visit, a smile, an encouraging word and a simple meal. As Trinity continues to grow, the small groups and ministries care for their members through coordination with Loaves and Fishes.

Purls and Prayers

We meet every Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Office Conference Room to make prayer shawls, baby blankets and more. They are blessed by one of our priests and then are given to those who are sick, in crisis, have a new child at home, or any other need.

Trinity Quilters and Crafters

The Quilters and Crafters meet the fourth Tuesday of the month from 9:30 AM– 3:00 PM in the Wesley Room to make prayer quilts. Please bring your ideas, a sewing machine, an extension cord, scissors and seam ripper and join us for fun and fellowship! If you don’t know how to quilt, we would love to teach you.

Stephen Ministry

In the tradition of St. Stephen (Acts 6:1-6), a group of dedicated lay ministers at Trinity provide Christian care to those in need. These Stephen Ministers are part of the worldwide interdenominational program. They meet with individuals in a one-on-one relationship on a regular basis during times of change, stress, or crisis. These ministers bring God’s love and presence into a painful or difficult situation as well as help the person in crisis look at the spiritual dimension. Confidentiality is absolute in this program. Stephen Ministers are required to participate in a 50-hour training program.

Daughters of the King

The Daughters of the King is a Lay Order for Episcopal Women with affiliates now in the Lutheran and Catholic Churches. Daughters take vows of prayer and service for the spread of Christ’s kingdom and wear the silver fleur cross. They are available to support the rector through prayer and service projects for the church. They also pray with fellow parishioners upon request. Service projects include: assisting with receptions for the Bishop and other parish.wide events, making gift bags for the Women’s Center of Montgomery County, providing clothing for women in shelters, leading small study groups and organizing retreats or quiet days for the church family.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew

The Brotherhood is a ministry of men dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom here on earth by means of regular prayer, study and personal service.
