Stations of the Cross

During Lent, the SONRISE Breakfast men will offer The Stations of the Cross for the Trinity family every Friday morning at 6:30AM in the Nave through March 22nd. The Stations of the Cross is a traditional liturgical devotion commemorating the last day of Jesus’ life. The devotion originated with pilgrims in Jerusalem retracing the traditional steps Jesus is believed to have followed on Good Friday.

Since not all Christians could make pilgrimages to Jerusalem, however, the custom arose of replicating the devotion in congregational and individual settings, often with images or carvings on the walls of a church to commemorate each of the traditional 14 stations (or stops) on the Way of the Cross.

Spring Foyers

March is the month to sign up for Spring Foyers and will continue through the end of the month. The French word "foyer" means "hearth or fireside" and suggests small groups in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Foyers provide an opportunity for fellowship and focus on hospitality rather than entertainment. Folks get together and enjoy each other's company. Groups of 6―8 (combined at random, rather than by age, zip code, etc.) meet three or four times over a six-month period for a simple meal and relaxed conversation. Couples or individuals take turns hosting. Each Foyers group determines its own meeting date. Please sign up in the Narthex. Questions? Contact Jack and San West at 281.298.8811.

Garden and Grounds

Paul and Tanya McKelvey will be moving to their new home in March. On behalf of Trinity, I want to thank Paul for his devotion and hard work to our campus these past two years. His efforts and talents have made our gardens and grounds a truly beautiful place. His stewardship has been a blessing to us all. We are looking for folks to become a part of this ministry and for an individual to head it. We are also looking for someone to be in charge of our sprinkler system. This involves changing broken sprinkler heads and turning the system on or off as rain dictates. Any major repairs are done by the professional sprinkler company we use, so this does not require a great deal of knowledge about irrigation systems. If you would like to become a part of this important ministry at Trinity, please contact Joanne Welker at 281.419.6237 or email me at

Wall of Compassion

It is time once again to build our Wall of Compassion, which is our food drive campaign for Interfaith. Pick up your box and list of items in Butler hall and return it FULL to the stage in Butler Hall by March 24th. Thanks for your continued commitment to this important community service.

Don’t forget your Easter baskets on Easter Sunday!

Flowering of the Cross on Easter Sunday

All Children are invited to bring a flower on Easter Sunday to put on the cross outside the Sanctuary. This is a beautiful tradition we have and the cross looks so pretty with all the different flowers!

Lord of the Streets

The LOTS team for this week includes Dan Brouse and Buck Struven.

Sharing Faith Dinners

Sharing Faith dinners will be held on May 16th throughout the Diocese of Texas. The evening will begin with a simple meal in parishioners’ homes, churches or meeting spaces across the Diocese. While the sign-up to participate in the dinners is not until April 1st, we need some volunteers to be hosts or moderators for these dinners. Please contact Alyssa Stebbing if you are interested.

Role of Hosts:

  • Provide the location (home, church, meeting space)
  • Provide a simple meal for up to 15 participants including the host(s) and moderator Must have access to email

Role of Moderators:

  • Must have access to email
  • Must participate in a one-hour training prior to the event
  • Moderate discussion with questions provided by the diocese

Sharing how we experience our faith deepens our spiritual lives and helps others recognize how God is at work in their lives. On this evening of Sharing Faith, it is our hope that you will experience a deeper understanding of your own faith as a Christian disciple and as an Episcopalian.
